Midgard Mountain

Midgard Mountain is an established permaculture farm, self-reliant mountain sanctuary and versatile eco-tourism/education venue for the benefit of owners, visitors, students and guests.

Over 15 years, Midgard Mountain has provided farm-stay guest accommodation and a range of experiences with a focus on permaculture, nature-based experiences, natural health and wellbeing, relaxation, adventure, education and training.

The land itself is fed by mountain rainforest springs coming from within the property below the highest points of the adjacent Koonyum Range national park providing an abundance of high quality, pristine and abundant spring water backed up by 4 other water sources all nourishing people, plants and animals 24/7. This is a rare landscape that is flood proof, drought proof and fire-proof offering peace of mind and without the risks so many others face.

Bower Camp Co. maintains a special working relationship with the owners of Midgard Mountain. Email us about hosting your event here. info@bowercampco.com.au

The property has never had any conventional horticulture farming on it since the time of clearing and has only ever had some light cattle grazing activity. The original 4th generation owners sold it on to a couple in early 90’s who used one area for organic vegetable farming and from them till now, it has been certified organic since 1994 continuously.

The current agriculture philosophies used at Midgard Mountain are a combination of typical organic food production principles , bio-dynamic techniques, permaculture solutions and a range of holistic practices.

The land is located just 10 minutes from Mullumbimby town but within the Wilsons Creek water catchment / rainforest valley and combines high quality soils, air, water, food, medicine and established infrastructure including houses, cabins, domes, yurts, communal spaces, storage, activity and education areas, gardens, orchards, food forests, creeks, swimming holes, rainforest trails and more.

Midgard Mountain is about holistic land management, permaculture, creative self- sufficiency, resilient and resourceful living, education, skills training, health, wellbeing and guest experiences. It’s a place that has welcomed guests, visitors, education participants, land owners and buyers seeking advice and demonstrable solutions for sustainable, productive and creative land management.
