What does Bower Camp Co. actually do?

Bower Camp Co. runs fully hosted, fully catered walking tours and camping retreats across national parks in NSW and Queensland. We handle everything — real mattress beds, gourmet meals cooked from scratch, expert guides, and all set-up and pack-down — so you just show up and be in nature.

Do I need my own camping gear or experience?

No. Every trip is completely pack-free — you bring only a day bag with water, a snack, and personal items. We supply real mattress beds, organic cotton sheets, all camping equipment, and fully catered meals. No prior camping or hiking experience is required, just a reasonable level of fitness for our walking tours.

What's the difference between a scheduled tour and a private group camp?

Scheduled tours and retreats (like the Girraween or Gondwana Walking Tours) run on fixed dates and you book individual spots, max 16 guests. Private group camps are tailored entirely to your group — your dates, your people, your chosen activities — whether that's a family gathering, a milestone celebration, or a corporate retreat.

How much does a Bower Camp Co. experience cost?

Our scheduled walking tours, retreats and multi-day journeys range from $1,445 to $6,990 per person, depending on length and destination — from a single guided walking tour through to our 10-day Girraween to Gondwana Tour. Private group camps and corporate retreats are quoted individually based on group size and inclusions.

Are Bower Camp Co. trips suitable for beginners or families?

Yes. Our walking tours suit reasonably fit beginners — expect 4–6 hours of walking a day, with the option to shorten most routes — and no prior camping or hiking experience is needed. Our family camps are designed specifically for parent-child bonding, with activities and pacing suited to kids.

Do you run retreats for corporate teams?

Yes. Our corporate retreats are built specifically to support team connection, communication and wellbeing, using nature immersion to create space away from the usual office environment. We tailor the itinerary, activities and pace to your team's goals, whether that's leadership development or simply reconnecting as a group.
